What's a Photo Booth?
It's a large multi-person version of the 'passport photo' booth machine they used to have in Woolies! However, photographs are taken using high quality cameras, proper lighting equipment and are printed on quality printers. Unlike Woolies, prints are virtually instant - no waiting five minutes for them to pop out!
How does it work?
Enter the booth, close the curtain, press the button and four pictures are taken of you acting childish, funny, sexy, crazy, silly. Acting silly is optional, by the way. A print is then waiting outside. Afterwards, photos are free to download or to share via social media from our website.
Please note that due to health lessons learnt during the pandemic, we no longer offer props as cross contamination is simply impossible to avoid.
How will it improve my event?
Because it's fun. People enjoy it. They become different people in the booth, more gregarious, more outrageous and pull the silliest expressions. They will have a permanent reminder of the fun they had at your event, whether it's a birthday party, wedding, black tie event, charity ball, school prom, dinner dance, corporate function, press event, graduation ball, award ceremony, special golf day, wedding receptions and anything else you can think of.
How much do you charge to attend?
Please see our prices page. Charging for attendance (thereby offering free prints for your guests) means that just like the band or the food, we become part of the entertainment for all guests. Let your guests know all visits and photos are free! We can optionally charge per visit if your event is for a charity or fund raiser, and all the money will be donated to your good cause.
Can we personalise the prints?
You can. We can include a logo for corporate clients, a thank you message for weddings, birthday parties etc. You are welcome to provide a suitable photograph of yourselves to be included on the print.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the whole of the South Wales region including Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil, Chepstow areas etc. We do have certain restrictions, or If you are further afield, so please get in touch and I am sure we can come to an agreement.
Do you place the images on-line?
Unless organisers specify otherwise, images are placed on our password protected website for people to browse and download for free after the event. We can sometimes upload images during the event if there is a good connection available. There is no further charge for your guests to download web resolution images with corner instapic logo. Prints and other products are available to purchase also.
How much space do you need?
Ideally, we need an area approximately 3 metres by 2 metres, but we can squeeze into smaller spaces. Unlike the 'cubicle' photobooths, our boothing maximises the available floor space allowing more people into each image. It is important that you make sure we have enough space at your venue.
Placement at the event is important - preferably close to the action (but not underneath the bands/DJs speakers) and with enough surrounding space for waiting and a little frivolity, rather than tucked away in a side room.
Do you offer green screen backgrounds?
Yes! Green screen technology is where a person is photographed in front of a green backdrop which is then digitally removed from the image and a background image takes its place. Particularly appropriate for children's parties (with their favourite character background) and themed events like casino nights (Bond symbol, Las Vegas sign or a picture of a casino), Hawaiian nights (with a beach background) or Western Cowboy events (with a Western style background).
How good are the 'insta pic' prints?
Really good! Insta Pic only use professional grade Dye-Sub thermal printers. The resulting images are almost indistinguishable from any other photographic print yet are available almost immediately for your guests Using high quality lighting equipment and cameras helps enormously and elevates the photographic quality. We also offer keyrings and frige magents for sale at your event that printed images can fit into.
Do you have insurance?
Instapic has Public Liability insurance to the value of £2million. Certificate available on request.
Sounds marvelous! How do we book?
Please contact us initially to ensure a booth is free for your date. If it is, then we need a deposit of £100. The remainder can be either paid at the very beginning of your event (in cash) or online beforehand.
