Instapic Event Photography
Event photos are where people are photographed by a photographer, holding a camera, using studio lighting and with (or sometimes without) a background in place. Attendees and guests are photographed and given a piece of paper with a special unique QR code printed on it. Images are then presented to the subjects (and only their images) either 1) via the computer viewing station/s equipped with a code scanner or 2) via an online website after scanning the QR code with their phones. Subjects can then select their favourite images for immediate digital download or for printing. We offer contactless payment if subjects either have to pay or if they wish to purchase extra.
How does the pre-pay system work?
That depends. Increasingly, event organisers are using our pre-pay system, whereby guests can receive a download or prints during the event as the event organisers will have paid a fixed fee in advance based on number of attendees. Products are redeemable via the entry ticket (for on-site viewing) stations or via printed voucher codes (for online viewing).
Can you attend for for free?
If you do not wish to follow a pre paid system, we can attend for free under certain circumstances and attendees will then have to purchase any images themselves. However, we normally offer event organisers a pre-paid system as it offers a number of advantages.
Why have uniques codes for images?
After taking each guests photographs, we hand them a card with a unique QR code on. All photographs taken of that guest will then be assigned to that guests special code. This has the major advantage that 1) guests can view their images, and only their images, immediately at our viewing stations, with no searching through all other images; 2) they can return at any time later to view their images and 3) they can view them online using the same code.
How much space do you need?
Ideally, we need an area approximately 3 metres by 2 metres, but we can squeeze into smaller spaces. Placement at the event is important - preferably close to the action (but not underneath the bands/DJs speakers) and with enough surrounding space for waiting, rather than tucked away in a side room.
How good are the 'Insta Pic' prints?
Really good! Insta Pic only use professional grade Dye-Sub thermal printers. The resulting images are almost indistinguishable from any other photographic print yet are available almost immediately for your guests Using high quality lighting equipment and cameras helps enormously and elevates the photographic quality. We also offer key-rings and fridge magnets for sale at your event that printed images can fit into.
Do you have insurance?
Insta Pic has public liability insurance. Certificate available on request.
Sounds marvellous! How do we book?
Please contact us initially to ensure a booth is free for your date. If it is, then we need a deposit of £100. The remainder can be either paid at the very beginning of your event (in cash) or online beforehand.
